ACT Prep
The ACT Prep Workshop is focused on fundamental training units based on my review package that helps students going through all the essential areas of preparation for the four tests on the ACT. There are two levels, and one level will be done on each day of the workshop: Level 1 of the ACT Prep Workshop is open to all levels of abilities. The class will focus on building the core strengths that are tested by standardized tests to help form a solid comprehension of test design, as well as offer an opportunity to learn the skills necessary for not only ACT success but success in all standardized test designs. The workshop will focus specifically on building the core essentials of test design, timing strategies and the knowledge of how to read with precision and answer with confidence. We will not be drilling “practice tests” repetitively, as many prep courses do, but rather we will be taking advantage of the opportunity to build a foundation on which to layer later strategies.
Level 2 is a more test-oriented, units-based review. We will go further into test question analysis and strategy and formulate individualized styles that will benefit each test taker and help them be the most efficient and capable test taker possible. This level will not be open to students who have not yet attended Level 1 training. This workshop offers the opportunity to practice skills on specific test question styles in each of the four test styles. This workshop provides a primary basis for the focus on individual style application to an extremely standardized exam style. We will not be drilling during this session either, but will work on genuine application of my proven methods for each question style, with a focus on the specific problem solving analysis styles that will help students overcome the question design on the ACT test.
